The Foundation is being established to promote and support Joyce Graber's beliefs and interests. The long term goal is to establish a Not-For-Profit organization which will manage the funds donated to the Foundation. The Foundation will support: College student aid grants, Brain tumor research grants, and Financial assistance grants for families of brain tumor patients.
College Student Aid - For college students who have elementary education majors. The selection process will give priority to seniors from Bethany Christian High School and/or from East Goshen Mennonite Church, but will be open to other seniors as funds are available. These grants will be awarded to at least one person annually and disbursed over four years of college.
Brain Tumor Research - For organizations that have research for the cure of brain tumors. The selection process will give priority to organizations affiliated with Riley Hospital for Children, Memorial Hospital of South Bend, and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, but will be open to other organizations as funds are available.
Financial Assistance - This will be available to families who have a child with a brain tumor. Families who use Riley Hospital for Children, Memorial Hospital of South Bend, and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh will be given priority, but patients of other hospitals will be considered as funds are available.
As the Foundation grows and matures, other grants will be established to promote other areas of interest.
An endowment fund is being created to support this organization for future years. Initially, half of all donations will be disbursed as grants with the remaining portion to be added to the endowment fund to provide necessary growth. Donations can also be given specifically for the growth of the endowment fund. As the Foundation grows and matures, the percentage for the endowment fund may change.

As the Foundation is currently not established as an independent organization, arrangements have been made with East Goshen Mennonite Church to provide assistance with donation receipts and other tax information.

Please include with your check a note indicating your preference as to how the funds are to be allocated. All donations received without specific instructions will be applied toward the endowment fund.
